Writing Just to Write

Hello Everyone

For this entry, I am going to do a bit of freestyling. Meaning, I do not have an initial topic in mind and am going with the flow of things. There are a bunch of things I could write about today, so let's take some time to reflect on what I've written so far. I've written a basic introduction on myself, where I explained where I'm from, what I've done and hope to do. I've also written reviews on different movies, or at least tried to. This is something I'll be doing a bit more of since the rest of 2026 looks like it could be a good year for movies. I wrote about how I want to be more consistent in writing, which is something I'm still working on. I've even written about the FIFA World Cup, a unique post since an event like that only happens once every 4 years. There are a dozen different things to write about, all I have to do is choose one topic for this entry. In the following paragraph, I will begin discussion of that topic and we can dive into it.

I think today, I'll write about the season of fall. For many, fall is their least favourite season. The days get shorter, the weather colder, leaves fall, and many go back to school. The last part feels particularly strange for me. This is my first year of not being in school, representing the end of my adolescence. While that does make this fall feel different, much still feels the same. I personally enjoy sitting at home, seeing the darkness outside, and feeling a slight chill. Many of the reasons others do not like fall, are the reasons I like it. Unlike summer, there is no need to deal with scorching heat. And unlike winter, no need to deal with wet snow and freezing mornings. Waking up early in the winter to go to an 8 AM class truly felt like a punishment. 8 AMs feel like a punishment regardless, but are easier to deal with when it doesn't feel like the steering wheel is going to freeze your fingers to the point where they fall off. I also prefer drinking hot coffee over iced coffee, which is pretty much impossible to enjoy in the summer. Fall has also always felt like the longest season to me. The winter semester always felt longer than the spring one. I do enjoy winter, but the days are just too short and I personally don't like having to wear a bunch of layers and snowshoes. Spring is like a reverse fall. The longer the days get, the more stressful the semester is.

There isn't much to write about when it comes to the seasons or my favourite, so I'll be cutting this entry short. Next time, I'll make sure to have a topic in mind in order to produce a longer entry. It will either be something significant to life or about some media that had an impact on me. But for now, adios.
